Breast Augmentation – When Can I Drive? Can I wear a seat belt?

We recommend you do not drive a car / motorcycle or any other vehicle in the first 7-14 days after a breast augmentation procedure. This timeframe may vary from one patient to another depending on how quickly you recover.

You should start driving when you think you can handle the steering wheel, handbrake and can stop in emergency situations, without feeling discomfort in the pectoral region.

When you start driving, you must wear your seat belt. To increase your comfort, you can attach different accessories to the belt that are similar to those used to secure children or you can place a pillow / towel between the chest and belt.

You should also check that the car insurance policy does not have exclusion clauses in case of accidents after extensive surgery and that it can cover possible damage.
