PRP (platelet-rich plasma) – Vampire therapy

What should I expect?

Appearance after centrifugation – in the upper part, plasma enriched with platelets, the separating gel, and in the lower part of the tube, leukocytes and red blood cells.
To get PRP, we will need to take venous blood from a superficial vein. It will be stored in a sterile tube that will be centrifuged. By rotating it at very high speeds, the platelets will separate from the rest of the blood elements, resulting in plasma enriched with platelets. The plasma will be injected into the desired area.
On the area to be treated, a cream with anesthetic will be applied, and after it takes effect, multiple injections will be done in the dermis, using a very thin and small needle (4 mm). There might be red dots, ecchymoses (bruising) or edema (swelling) around the injection sites for 12-24 hours. Do not wear any makeup for 12 hours; avoid sauna or hot bath.
